Protocol (Meds)

Protocol for iui#1 - April 2015

  • Femara 5 mg- helps develop mature follicles
  • Doxycycline 100 mg- antibiotic to minimize any general infection to protect me against the immune suppressent meds below
  • Dexamethasone 0.5 mg- immune suppressent steriod
  • Cleocin Vaginal Ovules 100 mg- another antibiotic to kill bacteria in the vagina and cervix
  • Menopur 150 IU- Stimulates the ovaries to make eggs
  • Follistim AQ 900IU- Stimulates the ovaries to make eggs
  • Ganirelix 250 mcg- prevents ovulation until we trigger
  • HCG 10,000 U Vials - hcg injection to trigger ovulation
  • Endometrin 100 mg- progesterone
  • Lovenox 30mg- blood thinner injection to help with implant (and will be continued daily through the whole pregnancy)
  • Neupogen 300 mcg- a catheter will be inserted into my uterus and the Neupogen will 'wash' my uterus and reduce white blood cells and Natural Killer (NK) cells
  • Intralipids - Endo alters cell membrane phospholipids which also leads to autoimmune implantation dysfunction. Intralipids via an IV before iui and then after a positive hpt will help with implant.
